What is Clipboard Health?

We are a nation-wide staffing platform for per diem healthcare work. We have facilities posting hundreds of shifts on our platform daily, and you can work them! We pay our nurses right after their shift ends, and you always decide your own schedule with us.

Why should I choose Clipboard Health?

We’re working toward changing the future of how health care professionals work — on their own terms. With Clipboard Health’s forward-thinking, tech-first philosophy in mind, we provide HCPs an easy-to-use mobile app that allows them to book the shifts when they want, where they want.

For facilities, there are no long-term contracts or upfront fees, and there’s no obligation to post open shifts on the desktop app. Clipboard Health will be there when needed. We verify licenses, run background checks, and ensure HCPs are trained for the types of facilities they’ll be working. All of that translates into cost and time savings for our facility partners. Also, we have a 24/7 support team our HCPs and facility partners can contact for help.

Do I need to download the app?

Currently, we offer health care professionals who work with Clipboard Health a mobile app. You can download it for iOS here, and for Android here. Or just search the App Store or Google Play store on your phone.

Facility partners use a web app to access their accounts and calendars, and the link is provided by your account management team once you join.

How is Clipboard Health responding to COVID-19?

Clipboard Health is committed to staying informed about the novel coronavirus COVID-19 and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. We post weekly news updates about efforts to combat the virus, and how the world is managing and coping with this global pandemic. Our HCPs receive up-to-date information on how to handle COVID-19 cases, as well.

We are also tracking facility partners and our health care professionals, so each know if either have had positive cases. We are offering a stipend to HCPs who have contracted COVID-19 while working a shift with Clipboard Health at one of our facility partners’ properties. What are the requirements to be work as a health care professional with Clipboard Health?

To work with Clipboard Health, all health care professionals must have a valid ID, an active state licence (if your position and state requires it), an active CPR or BLS card, a clean criminal record, a record of a physical exam, and a TB test or X-ray. How do I book a shift?

Our app is where you’ll book and manage your shifts. If you go to Find Shifts, you’ll see a calendar. Click on a day you’re looking to work, and you’ll see how many AM, PM, NOC, and CUSTOM shifts that facilities near you have posted. You can click on any of those time slots for more info, and you can Book this Shift or Mark Interest to claim it!

Do I have to call the facility to let them know that I booked a shift with them?

 Nope! We will handle all the facility communications for you, including confirming a shift. If there is a problem, we will let you know. Otherwise, you can just show up!

I’ve never worked at any of these facilities. How will I know what to do when I get there?

We ask for a lot of information from facilities to help you navigate your first shift with them. You can find all of this information by navigating to a shift and clicking the facility name. This will take you to the facility’s profile, which includes a photo of the location, the address, a phone number, options to find directions from your current location, important COVID information, and Check-in Instructions. This is where a facility might ask you to arrive early for an orientation, where they will help you prepare for your shift.

How do I make sure I get paid quickly?

We have an internal verification process to confirm with the facility that you’ve worked your shift. To help us do this quickly, we ask that you send us a photo of the timesheet that you fill out before you leave the facility. At the end of your shift, there is an option to upload this to the app — in the My Shifts tab, click on your current shift. At the bottom of this page there will be an option to Upload Timesheet.

Does the app show ALL the facilities in my area?

No, we work directly with facilities to post their needed shifts. If they haven’t signed up with us, then their shifts won’t appear on the app.

I don’t see any shifts on the calendar page. Now what?

We only show you shifts from facilities within your preferred distance. Try adjusting your distance preferences by going to the My Account tab >> Distance Preference. If you still don’t see any shifts after adjusting this, then make sure your push notifications are turned on so that we can let you know when facilities near you post shifts. We also have a facility referral program — if you introduce us to a new facility that ends up posting shifts with us, we’ll pay you $500! I can’t make it to the shift that I booked. What do I do?

You can cancel a booked shift at any time in the shift view of the app or by calling us, but we have an attendance policy. We allow 3 cancellations per month before removal from our platform. Alternatively, if you cancel a shift that starts in fewer than 4 hours (or if you miss a shift without cancelling at all), we will consider that a “No Call, No Show.” As per our policy, one NCNS can be cause for 30-day probation, and after a second NCNS, we permanently remove a nurse from our platform.

I’ve booked a shift, now, when do I get paid?

Once you work a shift, the facility has to verify it on their side. This is usually done the same day, but can take a bit longer for other facilities. If you upload a signed timesheet for your shift, this will help us verify your shift faster. 

After your shift is verified, funds are transferred to your Clipboard Health Balance. If you set up a debit card with Stripe, you can instantly withdraw your funds for a $2.99 fee. If you set up a bank account with Stripe, your funds will reach your bank account in 2-3 business days.
